Parenting by Text

As promised, there is the unedited script of the text "argument" between my son and husband. Mr C. was going to an Order of the Arrow Call Out for Boy Scouts and did not want to wear his full Class A uniform. My husband was out of town at a business dinner.

Mom (7:05 pm) - Uniform Pants or just normal clothes

Dad (7:05 pm) - Class A Scout

Mom (7:07 pm) - Not what he wants to hear

Dad (7:07 pm) - Tough Bounce

Mom (7:08 pm) - He wants to wear gym shorts

Dad (7:08 pm) - Whatever, it is OA (Order of the Arrow)

Mom (7:09 pm) - Text Mr. C and tell him

Dad (7:09 pm) Class A Scout uniform including correct pants and shoes with a belt

Dad (7:11 pm) Class A Scout uniform including correct pants and shoes with a belt OR ELSE (as suggested by one of the other dads at the table)

Mr. C. (7:11 pm) Why. Then I have more laundry.

Dad (7:12 pm) Since when do you care about laundry

Mr. C (7:12 pm) OK , whatever, bye

Dad (7:13 pm) Love Ya

Dad to Mom (7:17 pm) I must have won. His phone went silent

Mom (7:18 pm) You did. Off to take him to church.

Isn't technology wonderful!
